Porquerolles: beautiful unspoiled nature

Porquerolles has been part of Port-Cros National Park since 1972, and, for its biodiversity, it has been a marine protected area since 2012. The vegetation is diversified and abundant and consists mainly of pine trees, myrtle and heather. The fauna is as important as the island’s flora, with a great variety of birds and aquatic fauna, especially dolphins and sperm whales.

The island is also highly appreciated by wine lovers, as renowned vineyards are located here, as well as 3 important wineries: Domaine de l’Île, Domaine La Courtade and Domaine Persinsky. Porquerolles wine has a true identity: the wine is produced in collaboration with the Conservatoire Botanique National Méditerranéen de Porquerolles to protect the natural heritage of the island. Domaine de l’Île produces rose, red and white wines, classified as AOP Côtes de Provence; Domaine La Courtade produces white, red and rose wines, with an eye on environmental protection. Finally, Domaine Persinsly produces DOC rosé, white and red wines and is open to visitors for tastings and direct wine sale.
